Sellers: USPS® First-Class Package service to be reclassified from Expedited to Standard—take action now
As announced in February, USPS® First-Class Package service will be reclassified from Expedited to Standard starting the first week of May. This change—based on historical data which shows that First-Class Package service fits the Standard, not Expedited delivery window—will set the right expectations for your buyers, which helps protect your Detailed Seller Ratings.
Once USPS First-Class Package service is reclassified, eBay will automatically update all listings that specify First-Class Mail as a shipping service as offering Standard shipping, not Expedited. Be sure to update any listing with a different service if you want to continue offering an Expedited shipping service. You can update your listings quickly and efficiently with bulk editing tools. And don’t forget: with eBay Labels, you can purchase discounted postage, get FREE Delivery Confirmation TM on USPS® Priority ® Mail, Express Mail®, and First-Class Package service, prepare multiple shipments, print up to 50 shipping labels at one time and more. Plus, tracking info is emailed to buyers and automatically uploaded to My eBay. If you’ve never tried it before, there’s never been a better time—check it out today!
