Due to the blizzards in the northeastern part of the US, communication, power, and transportation lines have been disrupted, particularly in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
If you are involved in an eBay transaction with a buyer or seller in one of these regions, please note that their ability to communicate or complete your transaction may have been delayed due to the severe conditions. We encourage you to be patient in this matter, both throughout the transaction and when providing feedback once your item arrives.
During the situation, we will be extending support to affected sellers in the impacted states.
- Any low detailed seller ratings for Shipping Time that we determine are the result of this situation will be removed from your Seller Performance rating.
- We’re noting in your account with eBay that you may be affected by these events. Affected eBay Top Rated Sellers will be protected from any changes in status based on a temporary inability to upload tracking information.
During this time, do your best to communicate with your buyers whenever possible. If you have items you were not able to ship on time, inform your buyers about any delays—and upload tracking once possible—to best let your customers know when to expect their items.
We hope these measures are helpful in this difficult time.
