Updates to the eBay Buyer Protection Process help both buyers and sellers resolve issues

We’ve recently made updates to the eBay Buyer Protection process and the eBay Resolution Center to help both buyers and sellers resolve issues more quickly and efficiently.

Timelines for opening an eBay Buyer Protection case have changed to expedite issue resolution

Starting October 26, 2013, the timeline for opening an eBay Buyer Protection case will change from 45 days from payment date to no later than 30 days after actual (or latest estimated) delivery date.  This timeline change will give all buyers, domestic and international, the same amount of time after actually receiving or expecting to receive their item, to open an eBay Buyer Protection case.  See the policy for details.

Share images to more easily resolve issues between buyers and sellers

Now both buyers and sellers can upload images to help resolve issues with transactions, simply by clicking on the “add photos” button within the Resolution Center. These photos can be shared between buyers and sellers as well as viewed by eBay Customer Support in cases of escalation.

“Respond now” button lets sellers respond to buyers from their mobile devices

Starting December 2, 2013, sellers can click on the “respond now” button in emails notifying them about open cases, to respond quickly and easily to buyers from any device.
