The USPS raised most shipping rates on January 17—an average of 9.5% across the board. eBay is here to help you understand and manage through this change. Read our recent eBay for Business blog post to get more information and join our upcoming Facebook chat with the eBay Shipping Team on February 4, 2016 at 9am PT to get answers to your questions.
Remember, you can always get great savings over USPS retail or “counter” rates by using the eBay labels platform. Take advantage of discounts of up to 25% on domestic shipping and up to 29% on international shipping, order free supplies, schedule a convenient package pickup, and get automatic tracking for your packages, all through eBay labels.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As a result of unplanned product issues following the USPS rate change, sellers using Calculated Shipping within the selling flows were unable to select First Class Package on weights from 13 to 16 ounces. Know that this problem has been resolved, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
UPDATE: Now you can get the same rates as USPS retail with eBay labels for 1-3 oz. packages shipped through USPS First Class Mail. To take advantage of these reduced rates, be sure to select ‘First Class Package’ in the drop down menu when you choose your shipping option. See the chart below for a comparison of eBay labels and USPS retail rates for a variety of package weights.
We have updated bulk label printing to show you weights in ounces for the full range of USPS First Class Package weights (1-16 oz.). We apologize for any previous inconvenience following the USPS rate change on January 17.
