Take action before February 29 to ensure your Good ‘Til Cancelled listings remain active and get great exposure
We want to remind you that, starting February 29, 2016, product identifiers will be required on all new and Good ‘Til Cancelled (GTC) listings of new and manufacturer-refurbished items in a number of additional categories. Remember, if you have GTC listings in these categories, your listings will not automatically renew unless you update them before February 29. Any GTC listings not updated in time will end on their calendar renewal date on or after February 29—and will need to be re-created as new listings without any sales history.
Why we’re making these changes
Besides making sure your listings automatically renew, product identifiers give you better exposure in search results and greater visibility in promotions, which increase your chance of selling.
Here’s how to add product identifiers to your listings:
- Use My eBay or the bulk listing and editing tool to find out which of your listings are missing product identifiers
- Update your at-risk listings using your preferred listing tool
- Remember to include product identifiers every time you list
